Acceptable Documentation
You may submit documentation showing current or prior U.S. military affiliation.
Examples of acceptable documents include:
- DD-214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty)
- DD-256 (Honorable Discharge Certificate)
- NGB-22 (National Guard Report of Separation)
- Retirement or separation orders
- Leave and Earnings Statement (LES)
- VA or Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC)
- Military ID (you may cover sensitive numbers)
- Award citations or enlistment contracts
- DFAS pay document (W-2, 1099-R, etc.)
When submitting documentation, you may redact:
- Social Security numbers
- Service numbers
- Financial account numbers
- Any additional sensitive information
We only need enough information to verify service.
We review submissions quickly — most approvals are completed within 24 hours during normal business days.
Your Privacy Matters
Documents are used solely for verification purposes. They are not shared with anyone or stored longer than necessary for verification.
If you prefer, you may watermark your document with “For Wilson Botanics Verification Only.”

- Type "Military Discount Verification" in the subject line.
- Attach your document.
- Include the email address associated with your Wilson Botanics account in your message so we can locate your account quickly.
After Approval
Once verified:
